For this project assignment, I used Photoshop to create a legacy poster for someone who was a prominent figure in the arts, but is no longer alive. I chose Jonghyun Kim, a member of Shinee, who committed suicide back in December of 2017. I chose to make his photo black and white, but also add a pop of blue, as aqua blue is the designated color for Shinee’s fanbase. I also added roses, as after he passed, a trend started surfacing on social media called “roses for Jonghyun.” Fans would change their profile icons to an image of a rose to remember him, which is why I thought it would be fitting to add roses to allude back to that.
